BB,

Ebay/Paypal don't care about these scams, they are making squillions of dollars and the odd scam that gets through will have nil effect on their bottom line and then they can make big fellas of themselves by refunding the money

Hi Norm,

I totally get that, in the greater scheme of things it's a drop in a bucket to them, but it certainly puts a sourer taste in the purchasers mouth and has negative connotations to them buying again which is not what eBay really want.

Obviously things aren't going all that well for them again as they are running a TV commercial campaign again to try and sway buyers their way.

BS like this just drives them away doesn't it ? But it could be worse, at least the buyer gets their cash back.

Cheers,
BB.

Hi Norm,

149 Negs so far and still rising and now I see eBay have finally de-registered this scammer, about time. Sadly eBay are always slow to act as they see this sort of thing as a slur on their business.

Cheers,
BB.

Hi BB,

Those negative feedbacks are only the tip of the iceberg because what I have found is that the second you lodge a complaint with eBay the item is deleted from your account so you are unable to leave feedback after that time. This is I believe so that it reduces the numbers, no other reason I can see why they would delete it. The negative feedback is a real dive from when we bought the chain saws when the feedback was 100% positive. Any idea how they can create that as a sale would need to go through so that a buyer could give feedback and as such ebay would have taken their fees on the sale, or am I so dumb to not be able to see how else they can do it

Hi Norm,

Believe it or not what they do is sell a whole lot of small $1.00 stuff for a few months and then let it rip with the scam. This way they suck people in with the confidence side of things and run the scam for around a week and then disappear into thin air along with the proceeds.

Cheers,
BB.

Hi Norm,

Have a look at the following link and it supports what I've suggested.

https://feedback.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=yxoof_79&ftab=AllFeedback

You'll see that all the positive feedback is from ID's that have been de-registered and would be linked to the selling ID in some way. This is called ID Grooming.
This is the work that gone on behind the scenes by eBay staff after this debacle initially happened and they had to pay out bucketloads.

BTW the ID is from the one I bought a Hard Drive from which was also in kahoots with the ID that originally put up those chainsaws that you bought from.

Cheers,
BB.

Good work there BB, hopefully ebay will be able to spot this type of scam early but it is like anything to do with the world of online stuff there will always be people dedicating a lot of time into how they can scam somebody.
