Its inherently problematic to sell chainsaws - because half of the people who want a cheap saw we know shouldn't be allowed to operate one. I once had someone ask me to tell them how to start their chainsaw - I said that if you don't know how to start it, you ought not really be using it . Another said it stopped cutting half way through a branch - they bumped the chainbrake. Even if your saws arrive late september it still leaves plenty of time for one hell of a halloween joke - all you need is some of those masks Norm, does that bloke who you said went off the ladder with a chainsaw whilst drunk still live across the street from you? Reckon he would want one? haha

Hi Tyler,
Very good memory regarding the bloke across the road. Yes he still lives there and believe it or not he brought the chainsaw he was using when he fell across for me to look at it on Saturday. When it hit the ground it punched the side of the pull start in and he couldn't start it. Guess what, he wanted to cut some more branches of the tree he fell out of but he was going to get a mate of his to get up the tree. Even that I see it full of danger because his mate is a big drinker as well.
BB how did you find the sanders, they are $100 cheaper than Edisons price and they usually have the cheapest prices on all that sort of stuff.Funny thing is they both use exactly the same photo in their ads Wonder what it is all about

Just looked at the listing you put the link up for and then looked at "Sellers other items".
Cheers, BB.

Then there's this garden seat, how do they do it for $24.00 with postage included ? This is basically dumping rubbish prices.

I keep saying it's no wonder this country is rapidly going under as we can barely send a small package interstate for that price point.
Cheers, BB.

BB, this one looks very similar but it is $147.90, it has to be a place offloading excess stock. Maybe I don't feel so bad about the chain saws now. I might get some sanders as well and put them on gumtree for $40 that is doubling my money, better than I'm getting from the bank. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Gardeon-Canopy-Swing-Chair-Navy/303206365211?_Tried to buy a couple of sanders but because I bought 2 chainsaws seller locks me out from buying anything else for the next 10 days. I need to find more friends with ebay accounts

Norm,
Don't know why they are carrying on as if they are distributing Christmas presents to all disadvantaged children for free ?
You'd think they just want to move the stuff and if that means it all goes to one person, so be it ??
Cheers, BB.

Just read this thread through. I thought I got a bargain when I bought a Gardenline 50cc chainsaw for half price at $80for at Aldos three years back. I have only used it once and not keen on the tooless chain tensioner, but it cut two thick branches with ease when I last used it. It came with a complete hard carry case.
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

MF, I thought the same thing earlier this year when I got the display model Victa VCE1640 chainsaw from bunnings for $99 - 16 inch, toolless tension, oregon bar & chain.
Was $279 originally, but has been superseded by the new swift start model with the e-start and a 18inch bar I think.
Mine has been used three times - about 15 minutes of light work each time - usually branches up to 4 inch thick but a few 6-7 inchers. I store it empty of fuel and bar oil, so it should give me at least several years of service before I presumably will have to put in a carby diaphragm and lines.
I also have an old Poulan I need to get running - top handle 14 inch from the mid 80s - has a chain brake.

Norm, I don't like the look of this linkDifferent seller, lower price. Doesn't look good that he also has cheap Makita tools. I hope they aren't scammers

This link here Norm - seems a little strange that another cheapie of the same brand at a similar price should appear just days after the other listing finished. What sat worse with me is that a few of the guys other items (all at very low prices) are name brands - HP, Lennovo, Makita. That makes me more suspicious. But then again, I use a separate card (auspost load and go card) to buy things on ebay, as I don't trust them with my actual card account details. Have to go now as I just accidentally poked a hole in my tin foil hat Regards Tyler https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-MTM-62cc-Petrol-Commercial-Chainsaw-22-Bar-E-Start-Tree-Pruning-Chain-Saw/362731977581?hash=item547482bb6d:g:YYgAAOSwp~pdXAbz

I'm worried that blithering idiots will get their slime riddled hands on them, who normally wouldn't.

I can't work out if these are bargains scams or dumping, guess I will have to wait to see what actually arrives. I'm ready to make ebay claims if it comes to that

There's something going on here as I'd say that this is the same seller using another low feedback numbered ID. All these Asian sellers normally have high figure ID''s with negative feedback within while these seller ID's are low figured and no negative and really glowing positive feedback.
How can they sell Lenova Tablets and Makita Skins for such a ridiculously low price when even if doubled would sell at a flash.
I smell a GIANT GUTTER RAT here.
And another thing is why are both these ID's keeping the buyer ID's private, these are not Sex Toys they are selling.
This is a practicethat's been done plenty of times before of selling lots of non existent stuff overnight and then disappearing and closing banks accounts before people start writing about items not arriving which will take around a month. By then these scammers are long gone and never had anything to begin with except for your money.
I feel a big bunch of eBay / PayPal claims coming on.
Cheers, BB.

Anyway regardless of the outcome I've just thrown my hat into the ring and bought a 500GB Sata Solid State Hard Drive for $17.
I'm sure that I'll be one of the many that will be doing a PayPal claim to return my funds to me when this seller absconds with all the loot and leaves PayPal holding the baby. Poor eBay and PayPal, at times I feel they get everything they deserve for the way they treat customers and the scams that they get caught up in without doing anything about them earlier in the piece.
Cheers, BB.
PS I'll be the first one to eat humble pie if all of the above is not the case.

Well, my sub $5.00 TV cable to connect my used Sony camcorder arrived a couple of days early from Honkers and works fine and feels as good a quality as any oem would at six times the cost here.
