It would have been universal, to allow for the briggs 4 stroke, which has the same bolt pattern as the powertorque
Hi Bigted, what I was saying was that these later style steel decks fitted with the full crank engines, have the same raised bump near the carby on the deck which is the mounting point for a powertorque engine. I was saying that I don't think you can choose to either fit a full crank or a powertorque on the same steel deck? It's a bit of a mystery why these decks have that raised bump for the powertorque engine mounting bolt.
I added photo's earlier in this thread of the differences on these steel decks that are both fitted with the same full crank engines.
