Hi Converse & MF
I will never forget the time I started the Camira (before I had it running right - various auto choke and mixture issues) and had to give it a slight rev on start up.
Only problem was Mum had her brand new Sheridan bed sheet hanging on the fence behind. Or smoking out the house when the choke stuck on. They made 84 odd thousand JB camiras, and there are 3 regulars getting around here.
A couple of years ago, a girl with her Mum in the car park knocked the bumper with her trolley. The mother told her not to worry since it is just 'some old piece of s**t'. I got in and gave it a rev whilst she was standing between the cars - gave her a fright.
Last month, I went for petrol and a clown in a late 90's Z3 BMW decided I wasn't fast enough off the lights - raced around on the inside just before form one lane. He's redlined in first... and missed the gear change - crunch grind.
And I get sick of telling auto parts store staff 'Camira, not Camry' - a mechanic once installed a camry thermostat into the housing with a sledge hammer.
Has much more power since I fixed that since the inlet manifold isn't full of 90 odd degree hot water
