Hi Ollie81

I would be sticking to the 45 as parts are available. As far as I'm aware parts are not available for the 590 unless you find a parts machine which doubles your price, the engine on the other hand is easy enough to obtain parts or a engine swap is the other solution if it's just an engine problem, main thing to make sure if you buy one is that it has a catcher other wise its worthless. I think price point today is a silly question to ask as it's hit and miss pending on the seller, if it's cheap and you don't jump on it straight away it will be gone in 60 seconds and if it's overpriced it will sit for weeks untill they drop the price or some desperate person can't be bothered fighting the vulchers who sit online watching the classifiers 24/7. I personally think with today's market $150.00 would be tops if running but hey i don't pay more than $50.00 for any machine not running, there currently is a Lawn King model 33 rusted to buggery down the road from me asking $1,000 so what do you class a good price?
I understand your logic for the 590 to get close up to the fence by not having the catcher at the front but I would still go the 45, there's a reason the 45 is more sort after than a 590 and why it was still made up untill 9 years ago.
