Very simple to work on but delving into Briggs and Strattons opens up a whole new ball game and you need buckets of parts. First step is check the oil, if it has oil, then check if it turns over on the pull start and is not siezed or making bad noises. Then see if the primer squirts oil in through the throat of the carby. Next check if it has spark, and make sure the lever on the carby is not touching the kill switch pin. If it has spark and fuel through the primer give it a pull and see if it will fire
