Paul, I've got to ask this for the record ...
I know you favour 'sensitive' restoration, preserving the original
patina wherever possible.
I'm guessing, here, it was because the mower was in such a poor state.
You are an experienced collector with an envious collection.
Do you have any advice for new or inexperienced collectors
as to the decision process...
At what point do you decide to go for an extensive restoration, as
opposed to a subtle one?
