Yes there is a bracket attached to the catcher so the catcher will secure itself to the side of the base.
I think any Turner catcher is difficult to find these days, I'm lucky to see one turn up every two years.
The advertisement for the Collect-o-Matic even mentions the catcher being Acid Proof.
