Hi David, my only Cummins experience is probably 20 years ago when we were fitting them to fire protection pumps and as they were brand new they always fired straight when we test ran them. Can't recall ever having to pull one out for a rebuild either. I had the heat exchanger let go on one that was screaming so hard I could see through the turbo it was glowing so much, but I sensed something wasn't right and I looked away as it let go and I got hit with boiling water across the side of my face and all over my back. Could have been much worse.
