Hi Greg, best way I have found to work on these is drain the oil and fuel from it, remove the battery, and then tip the mower on its side because you can then get at it and see what needs to be done to get the belt on. I replaced all the belts on one a few weeks ago and it is a bit difficult but you have a much better chance with it on its side.
