Hello
ODK History Lovers
The
Stiga was a
Swedish ride-on lawnmower sold here from
late 1979.
Introduced into the Euro market in 1975, it proved very successful; so much
so that
Rover Mowers imported the
Park 2000 in its 11hp electric start guise.
This was a domestic ride-on with advanced features and specification. In many
ways, it was a wake-up call to Australian ride-on makers ... an impetus for
better features and better styling.
It should be said, though, that this was intended as a top-end residential
ride-on. It was priced above Rover's own Rancher (the dearest machine in
Rover's own line-up).
