My grandson is thinking of getting a self propelled mower, something in the 20 inch plus size but a Honda is out of the question because the gearbox is just junk and it seems the Victa is no better. Does anybody know of a self propelled mower that is strong in the gearbox department, no point in spending $1800 on something with a dodgy gearbox. The Deutscher self propelled are good but a bit bulky and he wants something with a catcher for certain jobs
