The coil from nearly every Briggs and Stratton mower you see on hard rubbish or beside the road will do. I can't recall any of the horizontal pull starts having points ignition, could be wrong, but fairly confidant
Well Norm, you may not have encountered them [these are all over 30 years old now, after all], but I can assure you that shedloads of points ignition horizontal pull vertical crankshaft Briggs engines were manufactured, from the 1950s onwards.
