Is that model Number actually XC 52144? If it is, we do have access to a Parts List and Owner Manual. From that, it looks to me that it has two drive chains. Rover calls these the 'gearbox chain' and 'axle chain'.
Did you purchase the chain as a Rover spare part, or just as cut-to-length chain?
