Hello
ODK Event Lovers
The
Wooden Boat Festival is held in
Hobart every 2 years.
It provides a great atmosphere, being held at
Sullivans Cove on the Hobart
CBD waterfront.
You can be a mower luvin land lubber and still enjoy this event. I love it!
Let me run you through my highlights: first - ships.
A number of Tall Ships visited this year.
The highlight was Sydneys
19th Century James Craig. I did the tour and was
suitably impressed. She was rescued from her resting place in Recherche Bay in
far southern Tasmania a couple of decades ago.
I couldnt find any lawnmowers on board, though I wondered whether one was ever
aboard in its century plus career I guess it must have had at least one stowaway.
I will have a restless sleep tonight thinking about that. Here are my arty images
from today.
