I agree the emissions laws are a pain to say the least. Half the carbs here are needing reworks to just get an engine to run right. Then there is all the China junk coming in too.
And I like older motors too as they are simply better built engines as they were design to last and not just make it through the warranty period. I seldom get to anything much over 20 yrs old but once a while I do see an engine from the '60s. I even worked on one chainsaw that was over 55 yrs old and it ran better most of the brand new stuff today.
