No worries Nolan; I got that digit count wrong, but the code number sequence just didn't look right. So it was made 7th November 1991.

That engine is one of the better Quantums; the I/C marking means that it has a cast iron cylinder liner. It would once have had a sticker in the centre of the starter housing, that had the model designation. The only major problem with Quantums is that the fuel tank tends to crack around the seam.

That base it's on doesn't look like a Rover to me; maybe an early series Granberg Bushman?
Definitely not a Supaswift or Masport, anyway. Is it 18" or 21" cut"?
