Well it's not at all mower related but i did myself a mischief the other day. I was drilling some 12mm holes in a concrete slab and the drill grabbed and twisted in my hand. It hurt a fair bit and my hand clunked a bit but I did that all too familiar test. All finaglers wiggles so not broken right?
This was Friday morning. It started to hurt a fair bit but what can you expect. I must have upset a ligament or strained a muscle. I wore a wrist brace over the weekend because the Mrs had one in a drawer.
Went to doctor on the Monday. He ordered an Xray on the off chance. I had my Xray done at the hospital. Yup I broke the fourth metacarpal (bone from wrist to knuckle on my right ring finger). I was then taken down to the Accident and Emergency department to have my wrist splinted and book me in for my outpatients appointment on Friday (a week after breaking it). Any luck I should be operated on Wednesday (13 days after). To my surprise, as long as I am mindful I can still do most things. Welding etc I just can't hold a grinder with my plaster. So. At the end of a long ramble. Be careful and work smart. Some peanut had taken the handle out of the drill box. In an ideal world I wouldn't have used that drill.
