thanks for the tips fellas. i did use the old screwdriver stethoscope trick on the bottom and top, they both sounded the same. like they needed grease. there is no grease nipple anywhere. the only part that got hot was the pully.so i am thinking belt slippage??? thank goodness i had steelcaps on is all i have to say.
