Squizzy, we are on a road to nowhere these days, everything has become a disposable item, buy something use it till it plays up and just get another one, everything is cheaper to replace than repair. In Melb we are now struggling to find a place that does small bore reboring, as the people running all those engine rebuilding businesses for the last fifty years get to retirement, they can't sell the business, so they just vanish. I was discussing this with B&B engines 12 months ago about repairing car heads, he said it was no longer worth doing, cheaper to replace it with a new head from China. We are a dying breed that want to keep old stuff going and we have no impact in the direction the general population is headed. A mate of mine has a gardening business and he wanted to know what sort of mower was available if he needed a new one in a hurry some time in the future. He went to the Red Shed and they couldn't believe he was still using a Honda HRU215 and a HRU216. He sees no reason to change as long as he can still get parts for them. At least the Honda motors outlast most of the machines they are fitted to
