Yeah got it off with no more problems, it was either a bad cast or metal fatigue that caused the problem it would have ended this way no matter how I tried to get it off, that other colt 5 I looked at the guy told me about an old guy who specializes in colt 5's not far from me ,but I forgot his address ,no problem, went to google earth and started hunting I new the area and what the beginning of street name was plus it was near the high school and there was only 1 in that area so didn't take long to find him,popped round on Monday and he had a look at the hub and said yep metal fatigue ,he then gave me a pulley and he has a hub which he is going to get off one of his colt5 's he has as spares.
he gave a few suggestions on getting the rest of the axle stripped down so the wheel bearings can be replaced ,use a lot of emery paper, and more emery paper till the axle slides freely
so will give it a go I am getting there bit by bit.
