Hello ODK Collectors

This is one I am happy to have. It's a 20-Year Service Tie Pin and Tie Clip,
given to employee P.E. Jenkins on 22nd May, 1967.

These pins were still on their original cardboard backing and in very good
condition; suggesting that the recipient never wore them too much.

The Tie Clip is in gold plate with black enameling; the Pin in gold plate
with green enameling. Both have the company's logo of the flag top, saying
Turner Industries (21mm x 9mm). One was made by Stokes; One by Hickok.
I guess these were recognized jewelers of the day.

Turner Industries was an engineering and manufacturing company based in
Lilydale, Melbourne, most famous for their Rotary Lawn Mowers, produced
from around 1959 - 1970. They were one of the top half-dozen makers in the
sixties: Victa, Turner, Pope, Rover, Supa-Swift and Scott Bonnar.

The company was bought by tool manufacturers Stanley-Titan in 1970.

The rest is history.
