vccommThat is a great question and it got me thinking.
I think I have a credible explanation.
The early 1960s Victa had a
safety defect that would only become
apparent with the design standards introduced in the late 1960s.
It was that the discharge chute should be
opposite the carby side.
[Hopefully, for obvious reasons].
StarterThe trick is: if you see a Corvette with a metal cowl and a zip starter,
it will be wrong. All these Corvettes had wind-up starters.
