Thank you bigted for your reply and information provided. I'll have to check the valve clearances tomorrow as I work on these machines at home and don't have a shed with today being rather stormy. My enclosed area is small and full of machines, so I use an area outside to do any mower work. Appreciated all the assistance provided and will update on results to help others looking at similar issues.
