I have some questions regarding a Victa Model 5 mower which I have acquired for restoration, and would appreciate your advice:
Q1. Is the air filter foam rubber element left dry, or does it require a ?squeeze? with oil? If oil, what oil type should I use, and how often should it be cleaned and reoiled?
Q2. Do I have the choice of using commercial 2-stroke fuel or making my own? If commercial fuel is ok, what brandnames and mix ratios are suitable? If home mix fuel is ok, what petrol type should I use, what 2-stroke oils are suitable, and what mix ratio should I use?
It has been around 30 years since I owned a two-stroke mower, so apologies for such very basic questions.
