Yep, there was a second pair of 'thrower' blades fitted above the carrier for the early Victa catcher models, when a catcher was in use. There were different thrower blade types for side and rear catchers.

Edit: Can't recall the part numbers, but the rear catcher thrower blades had a conventional 45� flute; the side catcher ones had a full 180� 'curl' flute. Weird looking things, they were!
