I intend to line the cylinder with cardboard & clean the carbon from head with a wire brush on a drill extension & my bearing scraper.
Then lap & service the valves.
Then give the cylinder a hone.

After honing, the new GXV140 ring gaps should be larger.

My assessment of old rings is:
-top ring worn to the extreme of its service limit.
-second ring you can drive a train through.
-oil ring worn just outside its limit.
