Yes, I was not aware the MK1s came to these shores.

I'm not the expert on Atco.
Sir Chook is the best Australian authority on these wonderful machines.

The typical Atco 'dogtag' suggests this is of '40s vintage.

If possible, the stamped info. on the flywheel (behind the cover plate)
may give a close (approximate) production date.
