Hi
A friend who lives in the bush has a Greenfield Anniversary 12Hp 32 cut ride-on mower. I had a look at it for him as the belt squeels when he engages the cutters and continues to do so in heavy cutting. It seems the belt is a bit worse for wear and he should replace it. The belt is not tight when fully engaged. The engaging bracket is at the end of its movement.
I have looked on the site for some information to help with the job but so far nothing. If anyone could help we would be very happy. His model has an jack shaft at the front with the first belt driving to an upper pulley on the jackshaft and an idler which moves out to engage the cutter drive by tensioning the belt. The bottom jackshaft pulley then has a belt to drive back to some idler pulleys on the deck and then forward to the cutter shaft pulley.
The questions we would like to ask are;
1 does anyone have a diagram or parts listing for the belt arrangement on this model ?
2 any instructions or suggestions as to what has to be dismantled to change the first belt (is this called the engine belt ?)
3 what has to be adjusted when reassembling the belts. There is a bolt fitted to the rear of the jackshaft mounting which looks like an adjuster. Which belt does this adjust (if any) and how does it work.
Any assistance would be appreciated. I cannot supply any photos of it at this stage. Thanks jaahn.
PS What does the Anniversary relate to ??
