Hello
ODK History Lovers,
Robert Philpott Pty. Ltd. made the
Minter Mower. They were sold from about
1955 - 1959.
The business was located somewhere on
North Rocks Road, North Parramatta.
They were
mostly conventional in design but with two significant features:-
[1] Curiously, they had a double row of wheels at the back - 4 wheels!
[2] Their real claim to fame is that the Minter may be the first rotary with a
single
point height adjustment. Philpott patented it. [See next posting]
The machine had an 18" cut and had swing-back blades.
The first engine used was an
98cc Midget, made by
Villiers.
