Pretty much all of the stuff I have asked about here gets a good run to test its reliability, being an item I have fixed and then sell after Im happy it's sorted, is given to me by a mate to fix for them or I have decided to put on the shelf because I like the thing.

I have a old friend who is too old to maintain his property so I go there once and a while and test equipment and keep the place tidy for them. I managed to round up a mate and some stuff I have tinkered with and given the place a good tidy up. This place was very overgrown 6 months ago. It was getting to the point you could barely walk around anymore due to the lantana and everything else just getting far too overgrown.

The Cox is mine and so too the Stihl. The rest is stuff I have worked on and gotten advice for from here. It all runs very well and did an admiral job. The two ride ons and the slasher were cutting lantana and growth well above 6 feet high. It was amazing to see actually. The fellow on the neigbouring property got out his Cub Cadet with its twin bar blades and was really having a tough time of grass 1 foot high. Their performance difference was amazing. Although maintaining a manicured lawn would be a more comfortable chore on the Cub.

Just some pics of what we did. A hard day, around 11 hours all up but at the end we had a nice fire and a cuppa while we listened to the wildlife. Nice spot.

This particular spot was easily over bonnet height on the Cox 6 months ago. 3 times through now has transformed it.




If you look at the growth beyond the mow line on the hill you can see 7 foot plus lantana. It goes for another couple of hundred meters. Thats going to be a job for a tractor and slasher.
