Here is some pics of the engine. The throttle lever operates the rod that goes down to the bottom of the engine (right hand rod in close up next to the governor lever which is on the right. The governor lever then goes up to a bell crank that operates the throttle in the carby (photo turned during upload (right=bottom)



I notice there is a tab with a hole on the throttle "rack" at the bottom of the lever and almost above it on the governor lever (behind rod)there is a "T" - wondering if a spring would go between these points-similar to the diagram above.
