Hi Alan, Joe is correct there mate, SB had struck a deal with Kirby-Lauson (which was a Tecumseh design made in Australia under licence) and used them until SB decided to use Briggs and Stratton exclusively on the entire range of products (except the electrics of course and some of the professional range)
Rover-Scott Bonnar and finally Rover Australia continued this policy until Rover closed down in Brisbane a few years ago.
