The Type you have given seems to be incorrect. Briggs Type numbers consist of four digits, followed by a two digit Trim. Most likely the 01 on the end of your Type is actually the Trim, and you are missing a digit from the Type.
Briggs repair manuals are in the form of largish documents that cover a multitude of models. Because your engine is a side valve single cylinder model made in 1993, the appropriate manual is Briggs part number 270962, Single Cylinder L-Head.
