WOAH, you dont wan't to go putting amorall on that dress cowl mate!!!
It's only going to eat away at it over time, nasty stuff, wont even put in on the car!
Oddly, I have found the best way to tidy up the older VC dress cowls, is with a small, soft wire brush, and some penetrene.
Sounds odd, but by that age the top 1/4mm is practically powdered by sun, and you just cant bring it back all that well.
Thankfully, the sun damage is usually fairly consistant in depth, so slowly and carefully going over it with a wire brush will remove that layer, but you will still be left with the same texture when you complete the job.
Keep it wet with the penetrene, and work in small area's, at first it will seem to make it whiter, then just mucky, but after a few sprays, then scrubs, then sparays, then whipes, then repeat, it will come up a treat.
Amorall will make it look ok at first in some instances, but it will only end up sending the damage deeper.
once you have finished the cowl, your own choice of clear coat, linseed, artist laqure or just a fine layer of cooking spray will help protect it.
