Darrell,
If Bruces suggestion doesnt help, There are several things that can cause this problem, starting with (like Bruce said) "over choking" also, worn rings, (does it smoke,or/and does the spark plug foul out quit frequently?) a low battery, a worn starter (or pinion gear) a loose starter or loose battery cables ("check both ends of all your cables") FOR A QUICK TEST ON LOW VOLTAGE, JUMP START IT WITH YOUR CAR OR TRUCK,and see if this makes a difference. If it doesnt, check to see if the altenator wires are connected. On the opposite side of the Carb you will find 2 wires if you have head lights"red/white, if you don`t you will find 1 white one coupled to a plastic connecter leading up to either your ignition switch or to the solenoid.
