Hi all just thought I would share this little story with you all. This is my Victa 18 special coffee table.Found this Victa on the tip many years ago,so it was bound to find itself in as landfill.I just couldn't bear to see that happen to it. So I took it home.

Anyway a friend and I decided that we were going to rebuild together.Anyway the poor thing had seized.Rock solid. So we try to un-seize it.It didn't quite work out the way we wanted it to, and some how I still don't understand we snapped the con-rod. My friend turned around to me and said 'what are you going to do with now?'So we left it for a couple of days to work out what I was going to do.
Then I thought hey if I fold the handle over make some bracket, put a piece of glass on it.Great a coffee table. So then I set to work and made a coffee table out of it.I just couldn't bear to see it go back to the tip.I'm not sure when it was completed but I know it was a fair few years ago.

It is painted in 2 pack sparkle green metallic. It has seen two pieces of glass break on it.Which is why it now 10mm thick glass.Hope you enjoy the story and pictures.I'm proud of it. I'm now thinking I should put a working motor on it. [Linked Image]
