I agree Deejay, and that is why I pointed out that he may have only repainted the engine in existing condition. He seems to have done nice work visually, but if he has mismatched parts (as you listed) and has only partly restored it, it comes out looking kind of like mutton dressed as lamb.
Having said all that, I see no sign of him telling any lies or faking anything. We may just be expecting Cadillacs for Chevrolet prices - I know I have that tendency.
