Hi all!

As stated in my introduction thread, my latest project is to build a replica of a 1912 - 1917 era Board Track Motorcycle

Kind of like this one.. early Xcelsior replica
(not mine, but built be a fellow up in the Warburton area)

These were raced in the UK and US in the early years on jumbo sized wooden velodromes (Board Tracks)but as these are like hens teeth here in Aust, I am building a replica.

My powerplant of choice, due to availability, reliability, era correct look, and low cost of parts, is the 160cc Victa 2 stroke.

This is now the donor mower for my project, and was after a little more information on this particular engine.

Please see photos...

1/. can anyone nail down a year? or model code?

2/. as this is the metal carb, is that 'G3' ??

3/. I am asuming that due to this having the 'round' cyl head, that it is the full crank version?

4/. does the serial number mean anything?
