I think it wasn't working due to the replacement carb coming off a mower and being fitted to the tilt a cut I wasn't aware the float was upside down at the time, needless to say it probably would have then started without being rebuilt.
Anyhow stripped it down, cleaned it all, blew out the jet, new orings, new float pin needle, back together, started first pull.
I reckon the hardest bit of the job was getting the cable to lock into the carby body and now jump out all the time!
Working well now though and started first pull so I was pretty impressed
