Thanks for posting the pics Bob, back in 1977 I had a Victa VC Sports, the same as the one in the last pic. Later that year, it had a very sad end!
Mine was a real lemon; no matter how many times repaired, something else would malfunction. I guess most members here could remember the frustration of getting your mowing clobber on, mower from shed, topping up the fuel, and the bloody thing refusing to start...standing there yanking the cord till your arm falls off.... I did my lolly the last time it happened....I went back to the shed, grabbed the nearest thing I could find, which was a Canadian wood splitter, and smashed the bloody thing!!
The bloke next door must have watched the whole thing unfold as he remarked; "I wish I had the courage to do that!"
The wreck was taken to the tip shortly after....
