It could be a number of things that could be causing your problems.

1. Choke not going on properly.

2. The inlet valve might not be seating properly.

3. One of the valves is sticking.

4. Carburettor could be partial blocked jet.

One other thing just check the muffler does not have a wasp nest in it. cheers2
