It depends on the boss that is on the mower. If it one that a blade plate bolts onto then they are easy to remove, all you need to do is clean the crankshaft with some emery paper until it is shiney and then hit the boss towards the crankcase and once you get it down remove the key in the shaft and then clean the rest of the shaft and slide the boss off. cheers2
