Fast forward some 9 months and the grass has started growing and it's time to be mowing.

As mentioned I have far too many mowers and this Lawnkeeper is the smallest but also the lightest and most manoeuvrable and very useful for doing along the edges of rock walls.

Anyway it became progressively difficult to start, painfully kicking back, the handle ripping though my fingers, had to put on a glove, obviously too much advance.

See attached. The damm key has disintegrated and allowed the flywheel to rotate clockwise several degrees.

Was an absolute royal PITA to get the flwheel off, the key had got bitten into the crank threads and jammed itself into the flywheel. Had a two jaw puller at maximum tension and was considering drilling into the mashed key when "sproing" and off popped the flywheel.

Inserted a new key and used some high strength threadlock. tightened up the crank nut. All is now good, motor starts and runs well.

Hope I don't ever have to take that flywheel off again:-)
