A mate dropped off his Deutscher H660 here a couple of weeks ago and asked me if I could sell it for him because he sold the place he had up the bush and it is way too big for any of the lawns he mows.
I have just had a look at it and it is impossible to pull start, and on reading up on a few reviews that is what they are all saying about this Briggs motor, very hard to pull start and if you are not careful they will kick back violently which I have discovered. I have a 10.5 flathead motor here with electric start, does anybody know if this starter will fit on the Intek OHV motor. All I can think of is fitting E/S on it. I can drill start it sometimes and the motor runs fine but even with the drill it can still kick back. Does anybody have an idea on fitting an external decomp valve to stop the kickback. Obviously these Briggs were a dud motor from the start from the reviews
