Hi Tyler,
yes there are different blade disc and blade combinations to make up the desired width.
A smaller disc saved me trouble when I ordered the wrong length blades for my ute.
I ordered the older type which are longer. When I combined them with a smaller four blade disc I had lying around, it measured 18" across thankfully.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
