Nothing stamped other than the '8' and '125' near the base of the engine.

Thanks heaps Bruce. Can I ask, how did you desypher the serial on the sticker ? Bigted mentioned the first few being a date, how do you read the last few digits ?

We have a direct link to Briggs which tells us what engine model is from the serial number of the engine.
