Not many people would go to this trouble. I had one with good plastic but rusty spring (not good for clothes if it rains). The one with broken plastic had a good clean galvanised spring so I went about swapping parts to make a good one as I have encountered the situation where I have been one or two short and can't justify a new pack yet.
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
