Hello ODK history lovers.

It’s amazing how myths perpetuate; particularly the salutary ones –
the ones folks want to believe. Even more so when it involves a
famous manufacturer.

This is the story of the Farmfitters Ltd Rapier rotary mower introduced
in the mid-1950s. It was originally powered by a Vincent two-stroke engine.

For whatever reason, the mower has been frequently misrepresented
as a ‘Vincent mower’ – one made by the famous British motor-cycle maker.

I was reminded of this when I recently watched a video on the famous British
Vincent Company and their most famous Black Shadow motorcycle.
There was a reference in it to a Vincent rotary mower ...
