I fitted the lower cross member bit back onto the chassis after wirebrushing decades of grime and grunge as well as some rust then applying satin clear to protect from recurring rust.
The air powered rivet gun is handy but it's jumpy as it pulls out the stem and damaged the paint as it rebounded and knocked the paint each side, leaving marks, so I artist brush painted the marks out with some paint left in the can. Barely detectable, especially when the wheels go on.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
